My Week Via Instagram
It's been a busy week! My play opened in Hollywood, Matt and I are still moving in, I posted a fun DIY on Ruche, and of course it was Mardi Gras. I love having Instagram to keep memories!
I'm thinking about ordering prints or making a book. What do you do with your Instagram shots?
I'm curious, do you guys use either Webstagram or Followgram? What are your thoughts?

Webstagram
Instagram is probably my favorite iPhone app because I love looking through fun pictures. It's like my favorite photographers curate a daily lookbook for me to glance through. However, if you don't have a smart phone, now you can check out Webstagram--the website version of Instagram!

Instagram Actions for Photoshop
Okay, this is pretty awesome. Daniel Box made Instagram Actions for Photoshop--and they work brilliantly. Here are a few examples:
Plus, he's made them free to download. Check out the actions, and definitely check out Mr. Box's tumblr--it's a visual treat, I promise.
PS: How pretty is that dress? Hey, let me ask you guys something--is it wrong to steal from one's little sister??

iPhone Photo Apps
Hello friends. I've been having fun playing with the photo apps on my iPhone 4. It really has great photo capabilities--and as Matthew always says, the best camera is the one you have with you. So here are some of my favorites:
So, these are the apps in my photo folder. Today, I'll talk about Camera+, Diptic, Pixlr-o-matic, and of course Instagram.
Camera+ is great for photo editing. It allows you to crop, color correct, add fun borders, and apply effects. It also has a built-in photo capture capability that allows you to focus and adjust the exposure.
Camera+ costs $.99, and the Analog Effects folder is an additional $.99. Totally worth it.
Pixlr-o-matic is another great photo-editing app. It has so many great vignettes and frames that it is often challenging to select a favorite! Bonus: it's free!
Diptic is a fun app with built-in layouts so you can have two images in the same picture. It lets me mix things up, and I'm into it. Cost is $1.99 ($300 phone, no problem, but a $2 app--outrageous!) but it's worth it.
Diptic photos always come out square, which is great because that's the format Instagram posts in.
Ah, Instagram--my new favorite pastime. It allows you to zoom and crop photos (always in a square), and apply 15 styles to your photographs. It's an easy photo-sharing app that will also link to your Twitter, Facebook, and more. It's free and joyous--highly recommended.
So go forth, capture some memories, and post them for the world to see!
Do you use any of these? What do you think of them? And what other apps do you like?

Camera Bag Inspiration
Friends, it's almost time for me to invest in a nice camera bag. I have my eye on a few pretties--let me share.
These bags are lovely, spacious, and vegan, which is very important to me. They range in price from $45 to $199. I don't mind paying more for a good quality bag (especially one as cute as these!).
Do you have a camera bag? What do you use?

Instax Gratification
I'm just getting the hang of my little instax camera, even though I've had it for almost a year now. Here are some images from our picnic.
I used to think of the film as precious, so only really great pictures should be taken (thus I rarely took pictures). Now I think of it as a way of capturing special moments--quick little snapshots for me to hold in my hand and savor.
This is a picture of me taking a picture of Matt (featured above). You can see from the instax shot that I hesitated, so really he took a picture of me posing...but I captured one of him. He just looks so natural and off-guard, and I get to hold the memory of him with his camera.
So special!

Wedding Photography
One of my favorite things to peruse is wedding photography--in magazines, online, photo albums...I love it. Every little detail. But what I really love to find is great wedding photography that can translate to art within the home after the big day.
That's why I'm totally obsessing over this wedding, featured on Style Me Pretty. The pictures were done by Turn Loose the Art Photography, and let me just say...I'm starting the slow clap over here!
Here are some images that I would easily hang on my wall--real big!
I'm squirreling these away for my future wedding pics...
