Holiday Art Journal: Dream Holiday

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or any other holiday, imagine what would be the perfect day.

Write down any memories of wonderful holidays and imagine what would be perfect. I think of Christmas in the snow with my family and recent Christmases with Matt and Artemis. Combining them would be pretty much perfect.

Allow yourself to doodle a bit--strings of lights, snowflakes, dreidels, candles--anything that reminds you of the season.

Just let yourself play on the page. Don't be afraid to make a mistake--you can always cover it up! Just thinking about happy holidays made me smile, and I think if I reach out to them, I can make them happen.
