Vegan Candy

Halloween starts a tricky season for vegans--candy, baked goods, Thanksgiving dinner....very animal-filled. But with a little planning and research, you too can be cruelty-free this holiday season! To start, here are some popular vegan candies. Trick or treat with them, put them in jars for a spooky table setting, or just enjoy as a sweet treat from time to time.
Now, I'm not saying these are filled with particularly nutritious content, but at least they don't have cow hooves or pig stomach in them. Check out a larger list--which includes chocolate!--here

Oh, and Oreos and Nutter Butters are also vegan. Just sayin'.

  1. Just bookmarked and tweeted this really helpful post! My boarding school has really strict policies on brining in candie for halloween so this is perfect :D

  3. Behold the irony that one (sour patch kids) is shaped like people and the other (sweetish fish) is shaped like fish. Kinda makes me giggle.

  4. Thanks for your comment on my blog Shannon! Yes, I have heard of the piece you mentioned where the guy just sits on the bench and then it's over. Kinda crazy! I think he names the piece by its length or something like that. Such talent eh? And wow vegan candy! I had no idea!

  5. naturalcandystore.com has corn syrup free and vegan candy as well to go a bit healthier route. I ordered candy from there this year to replace the candy my daughter will get trick or treating so I don't feel bad letting her eat some candy for once!

  6. Well, I have been on the Oreo bandwagon for years :) And I always hand out PixieSticks. Because really, how can you go wrong with straight sugar. PLus, I can spend $3 on two packages and be set for all the trickortreaters.
