Reprieve

Sometimes you just have to give yourself a little break.

Matt and I have been building our new life here in California. It's thrilling and fun, scary at times, and lots of work. I've had two very busy weeks, so I decided to gift myself a little break from blogging. No stats-checking, no marketing, no photoshoots--and no guilt. I just needed to give myself a little time.

Every now and then it's important for me to evaluate why I blog--whether it's for money, pride, a business, or just the enjoyment of it. It's usually some sort of combination, but I never want it to be about obligation. No "I should do a blog post...." When I post, I want it to be because I enjoy the project and I'm proud of what I post.
